The Ultrascope: The Ultimate Spotting Scope
An UltraScope has many uses. It was designed primarily for looking through glare on windshields and windows. It was also designed to be portable and light weight so that it could be deployed by SWAT teams and other Special Operations forces.
But, in addition to being able to see through glare, the UltraScope uses a megapixel color camera. So, even if it did not have the ability to remove glare from windshields, it would still be very useful as a general purpose spotting scope. It will give you much sharper, more accurate images than any standard camera.
In addition, the algorithms in the software that process the images from the camera can extract additional information from scenes that would otherwise be invisible to the human eye.

The UltraScope Camera Sees Through Windshield Glare
The image above was taken with an UltraScope camera and a long-range lens and camera with no glare removal. The image to the right was taken with the UltraScope and a long- range lens using glare removal. Distance to target: approx ¾ of a mile. The license plates are intentionally blurred. It was 4:00 pm on an overcast day with light drizzle.
