Compare Cameras - QIMAGING Spectral Response Graphs

(Other cameras that use the Sony chip are Optronics Magnafire, and Cooke SensiCam, scroll down for quantum efficiency graph for these cameras, and for other QImaging cameras, including the new Retiga 2000R)

QImaging Intensified Retiga, standard - GaAs photocathode - from 450nm to 900 nm
QImaging Intensified Retiga Extended Blue - GaAs photocathode Extended Blue - from 300nm to 950nm
Option: RGB Liquid Crystal Color Slider Filter Module (F-mount interface required)
Option: IR cutoff filter

Spectral Response (quantum efficiency) graph for
QImaging Retiga 2000R Fast 1394 Digital CCD Camera. Retiga 2000R features enhanced visible-range quantum efficiency resulting in high sensitivity that is ideal for brightfield, machine vision, metrology, and metallurgical imaging applications.

Spectral Response (quantum efficiency) graph for QImaging Retiga EXi Fast 1394 Digital CCD Camera. This camera features enhanced visible and IR quantum efficiency resulting in high sensitivity that is designed for demanding low-light and fluorescence imaging applications.

Spectral Response (quantum efficiency) graph for QImaging QICAM Fast 1394 Digital CCD Camera. This camera is designed for high-resolution brightfield scientific and industrial imaging applications. The Sony ICX205 progressive-scan interline CCD (monochrome or color) gives a resolution of 1.4 million pixels in a 12-bit digital output.

Spectral Response (quantum efficiency) graph for QImaging QICAM-IR Fast 1394 Digital CCD Camera. This camera is designed for high-resolution infrared and visible-range scientific and industrial imaging applications. The QICAM-IR spectral range extends to 1000nm in the IR region. The VQE3618L progressive-scan interline CCD (monochrome) sensor provides high speed, low noise data, 12-bit output.

Spectral Response Graph for QIMAGING PMI-4201Precision Digital Camera. This 4.2 megapixel camera uses the newer Kodak KAF-4201 sensor (quantum efficiency graph not available). The sensor provides 2032x2044 light sensitive pixels, with a pixel size of 9x9m (18x18m in 2x2 binning). The chip size is 19.1mm x18.43mm. Quantum Efficiency at 450 nm is 10%, at 550nm is 30%, at 650nm is 40%. Saturation signal is 85,000 electrons.

Spectral Response Graph for QImaging Retiga 1300i
The Retiga 1300i digital CCD camera features enhanced visible-range quantum efficiency. The Sony ICX085 progressive-scan interline CCD (color) gives a resolution of 1.3 million pixels in a 12-bit digital output. Note that Retiga 1300i replaces some older Retiga cameras (Retiga 1300), but still uses the Sony ICX085 progressive-scan interline chip.

Other cameras that use the Sony ICX085 chip are Optronics Magnafire, and Cooke SensiCam
Sony ICX085 chip in older Retiga 1300 and in Retiga 1350 EX shown below. See spectral response graph.
